FNB worst on handling ***** cases

On the 6th of December 2024, I was de*****ed by individuals pretending to be members of the South African Police Service. I immediately reported the matter to FNB, and providing all necessary documentation including affidavits and a police case number. Despite my efforts to make follow-ups, on the 10th of December, FNB closed my case, claiming “insufficient documentation.”

This is entirely incorrect and unacceptable. I sent emails, provided the required documents, and made several calls to check on the progress. FNB’s lack of urgency and failure to act responsibly is deeply disappointing. It seems they do not understand or care about the impact this has on their customers’ livelihoods.

If you are banking with FNB and ever need to rely on them for a ***** case, be prepared for frustration and indifference. They won’t take your case seriously, no matter how much evidence or effort you provide. This is unfair and needs to change.
