FNB WONT LET ME CLOSE MY PRIVATE CLIENTS CHEQUE ACCOUNT

I have been using my FNB cheque account for a months now! they continued to charge monthly fees, I settled those fees and asked them to close my account since I no longer use it, instead they charged me more fees, I settled that and immediately requested for my account to be closed, now they are telling me it will take 40 days to just close my account and I will be liable for monthly fees during that time for an account I no longer use! what kind of **** is this!!!!!!!!!
