Fnb won't let go
I was once a loyal customer. However after many issues I decided to move banks. When this was done (ironically) my new bank failed to move an existing revolving facility over. FNB rightfully appointed an agent (daly corp) to collect the outstanding amount from me in about November 2024. Since the original arrangement i have to my mind paid the entirety of the outstanding debt. To my surprise, FNBs agent is now unaware of any payment I have made and according to them I still owe the entire balance. I have had countless calls with FNBs agents, I have sent emails, I have begged and pleaded. I have requested the recordings of the interactions i have had with FNBs agent and was informed I must visit an FNB branch in order to receive these recordings. When I visited the branch I was told that they are unable to assit. The entire situation is such a reflection of as to why I left the bank in the first place. A defaulting client having to beg on a public forum for help as to settle their outstanding debt sounds like a comedy but unfortunately when dealing with FNB it is real life.
I opened my very first bank account with you sometime before 2010, I was loyal but due to multiple failures on your customer services I decided to move to another bank jn 2*** obviously my new bank dropped the ball as above and as such I found myself in a rather uncomfortable situation which had to be aired publicly. I must however give credit where credit is due and thank you in the same public forum for your absolutely amazing service in resolving my complaint. I have been struggling with this issue for months and your VERY capable representative Mpho Mafotsa came in like a force of nature and dealt with my issue within a week. I am beyond impressed. Thank you ever so much and please give Mpho the credit that is due to her. I am not one to complain in a public forum and even less inclined to compliment in a public forum but honestly, well done.
