FNB won't reduce my credit limit

I want to reduce my Petrol Card limit by R3000. I got my personal banker 5 days ago to do this for me. Her own bank wouldn't help her. Yesterday I called the same bank with the same request and I have been sent from pillar to post about reducing my credit limit. The money has long been deposited in the said account. All I want is to have lower credit limit. I am slowly losing trust in this bank.
