FNB - What happened to the quality of your brand ? How Can We Help You ? ? Are you guys still figuring this out ?
Firstly I would like to state that FNB is no longer the Bank in which we trust and you guys need to rethink your slogan. . . . "How can we help you?" Really ? ? ? For a bank that prides itself on “How can we help you”, I am highly convinced that you are certainly not living up to the brand values of FNB. So I have a personal loan with FNB for the last 3 years, Never missed a payment up until recently when I had some disputes with my previous employer and was in the midst of changing jobs, I could not pay the full installment owed due to me being without employment for 2 months, I recently started work and when I got paid FNB took almost Half my salary at once, I requested a reversal on this transaction today , spoke to umpteen managers explaining them my situation, told them that I have to pay rent and I have a family to see to etc but needless to say FNB could not be bothered about my current situation, I would understand if I had a bad credit record and missed the payment entirely, however I have never missed a payment and the last month or so I made an arrangement to pay what I could afford, Personally I think FNB would prefer me and my family to be without a home and basic necessities and have their personal loan paid up. I have had quite a few other bad experiences like Debit orders and incorrect payments but I have not made a fuss about it, I always gave FNB the benefit of the doubt and would argue people on the fact that FNB is by far the best Bank , truth is I have been lying to myself because I am a very loyal person and in turn loyal to FNB, However today the trust and loyalty is lost and I realize that FNB is no longer the bank of choice , They are more for quantity rather than quality, However for me that's where I draw the line, A bank is something personal, they deal with your finances and you trust them with your earnings, life savings, Home loans etc, It is not supposed to be like a network service provider. Your bank is something personal and alot of thought needs to put into this decision, I have been a loyal customer with FNB for more than 10 years, and through all the crazy service fees and penalties incurred, I always said to myself quality comes at a price and I don't mind the fees because if you want the best you must be willing to pay for it. However FNB has lost its sense of loyalty to its clients. I keep up to date with whats happening in the financial world and I recently saw that FNB had been voted the most innovative bank...WOW how great! You guys should just change your business operations and join forces with TESLA , lets get real you are forgetting your main purpose and functions as a bank and as an FSP( Financial Service Provider).. it is not to invent new things, it is about being a great FSP . Today I am not upset with FNB however I am totally disappointed! South Africans need to wake up and think about what their bank needs to do for them, Most importantly starting with basics. I will share this on every media platform I interact on, as I am all for helping others and sharing my knowledge. Furthermore I will be closing my FNB account completely and I will never ever choose FNB in any aspect of my choices, Furthermore I deal with people on a daily basis helping them with policies etc and going forward I will definitely share my knowledge about FNB, in saying so it is not just me that you are going to lose as a client, I am a very influential person and reason being is I am very calculated, so people tend to base alot of their decisions on my choices. I cant imagine how many people I will save from making the wrong choice and choosing FNB. In conclusion Dear South Africans, Don't just choose a bank because they are the big names in the banking world, when it comes to the people who are dealing with your finances, earnings, bonds , Vehicle finance etc.. Rather choose a FSP that cares about your financial needs, I rather choose a smaller FSP that has my best interests at mind.
