FNB - what an unreliable, unsafe bank siding with **********

I made an online purchase for a Growatt SPF5000es inverter and a 7.2kwh Battery. Payment made from my FNB savings account, to the online retailer's FNB cheque account through the mobile app.

Wrong inverter delivered, and the battery second hand. Immediately informed the retailer, they collected and advised it would be replaced. Weeks later informed no stock available and that I would be refunded. And then they stopped taking my calls, ignored my WhatsApp messages and emails.

Reported to FNB *****, opened a case of ***** at SAPS. FNB was provided with all communication from the start of the transaction (WhatsApp and email) between myself and the retailer, where he agreed to refund me. FNB was provided with the SAPS case number.

I was casually informed this week by FNB that I cannot be assisted in getting the funds returned, as the retailer is a valued account holder of theirs, with the account active since 2018. So I can only assume that I am not a valued customer of FNB, even though my account has been active since 2010 / 2011.

I will be closing all my accounts at FNB and move back to ABSA, and I will advise everyone I know to do the same. Do not trust FNB to have your best interest at heart - FNB sides with **********. FNB doesn't value the ordinary hardworking South African.

Oh, and do not support Star Solar (www.starsolar.co.za) - you will lose money when doing purchases through this online retailer.
