FNB We Don't want to help you
FNB’s card division is clearly either unable or unwilling to provide me with information regarding two unknown transactions on my credit card. In fact, the person who contacted me this morning following the dispute I lodged on 5 February 2026, and after several emails, was rather rude, unhelpful, and simply dismissed the matter by suggesting that I must have provided my details to a supplier.
At the very least, the bank should be able to explain to whom they transferred my money, yet they appear unwilling or unable to do so. I am deeply frustrated that my bank (FNB) refuses to provide details regarding these transactions.
The poor attitude displayed by FNB’s card division is extremely concerning and unsettling. Surely the bank should have its clients’ best interests at heart. The various telephone numbers provided either do not exist, or when they are answered, one is subjected to endless automated options for 30 minutes, after which no one responds.
Has FNB now become like the public service, where one pays for a service but receives none? My assigned banker is apparently on extended leave, and the person standing in for her is also absent. There is therefore clearly no way to obtain any meaningful response from FNB. It appears as though no one is willing to take responsibility or assist.
