FNB - WE DO NOT WANT TO HELP YOU - WE WANT TO ELEVATE YOUR STRESS LEVELS - 100% SIGNING POWERS MEANS NO ACCESS AND NO

My son is currently working in Thailand on a superyacht. Before he left for Thailand we went to the bank, opened a Dollar account to ensure that he can be paid via EFT without paying to much banking fees.

Whilst at the bank we asked the consultant if I (his mother) will be able to sort any and all possible problems out for him in South Africa with his bank here in South Africa whilst he is in Thailand.

They ensured me that this will not be a problem and my son gave me 100% signing powers and power of attorney to manage his account which included his online banking profile.

Whilst he is still in Thailand, FNB were so kind to ad onto their system that his devices is not verified, this after he was already in Thailand. Whilst before he went he verified all the devices to ensure that there is no problems with regards to his banking.

When he wanted to withdraw money earlier this week, his transactions could not be processed, apparently the pin code is incorrect, BUT WE'VE FOUND THE PIN CODE NEEDLY TUCKED AWAY. The pin code he utilized was 100% correct in terms of the document from the bank.

He contacted me immediately and requested that I log onto his internet banking, but we weren't able to do anything since we do not have his cards available to us. He have his bank cards in ****et where he is working.

His telephone number changed when he started working in ****et and he have a Thailand telephone number.

FNB exspects him to contact their call centre telephonically, to change his otp details from his cell phone number to his email address which they do have on file.

I tried phoning and changing the otp details but with no success. Apprently when I have full signing powers on his account it does not give me the right to change the otp info to ensure that this is sorted.

He must phone them himself. He did and he's spend a small fortune on the call only to talk to a machine which do not transfer him to the person which must assist him. Needless to say he ran out of airtime and data, without being assisted.

FNB IS NOT HELPING PEOPLE THEY ARE TRYING TO SEE HOW TO NOT HELP YOU AT ALL.

PATHETIC - I DO NOT HAVE WORDS.
