FNB Victimised me, I won't keep quiet.
I am horrified by FNB's terrible treatment. My card was cloned, because of this, multiple swipes went through at tollgates in other provinces where I do not even stay, I went into the branch explained everything to FNB, who cut up my card and "supposedly" opened a case of ***** at the same time whilst "blocking" my card. The next minute, my account keeps on going further and further into arrears and FNB sends me legal notifications daily. I phone FNB ***** department and complained about them threatening me with legal action daily, upon which they said: "There is no ***** case which we are aware of, you are responsible for these charges". I have phoned customer services, Head Office, ***** Department, been to the branch, FNB does NOT believe me as a client. They are now threatening me with a Section 129 notice, and I will not budge, I REFUSE to pay for swipes I did not perform, if they cannot prove to me that I swiped those tollgates, why should I be liable for those expenses? We're talking R3000+ tollgates in one month in provinces around the country. My entire credit record with FNB is *****ed up, because of FNB, they put me in arrears, they caused all my debit orders to fail, they gave me a bad credit rating, purely because I refuse to pay for something I did not swipe. So FNB thinks it works as follows, they can randomly charge you, whatever they like, and if you stand on your rights, you get victimised and bul**** to the point where you move to another bank for your own safety, and then they keep on haunting you with legal notices and threats. NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I HAVE TRIED TO PROVE MY INNOCENCE, FNB DOES NOT BELIEVE ME AS A CUSTOMER!! Where are my rights? Is this right? Why should big corporations like this get away with victimising their supposed clients... "how can we help you..." What a **** cliche.
Kind Regards,
Kind Regards,
I'd like to inform you that it is the 11th of October 2019 and NOBODY from FNB has called me to date!! NOBODY!!! I will tell you what did happen though, you guys kept on milking me for my monthly fee of R199, even though I protested and said close the account, still you refused to close the account, I went back to the branch in Gezina, spoke to the Manager there Anika Smith, she sent an email to your head office asking them to freeze the account or reduce it to the lowest kind of account you have, guess what? FNB Head office sends a reply back: "WE REFUSE TO CLOSE THE ACCOUNT UNTIL THE FULL ARREARS AMOUNT IS PAID UP", ok, so the arrears has increased by R3000 subsequent to the complaint on Hello Peter and your bank refuses to close the account until I pay the money which I did not swipe for AND the monthly fee for an account I have not used in almost a year. I would like to know what my rights in terms of the FAIS act and the law of South Africa is, I actually believe FNB is **********ly messing up my credit record and I am going to report this to the financial services board
