FNB very bad client service
I app**** for a further loan on my FNB home loan account and after submitting all the requested documentation it has been 18 days without any feedback on the progress of the situation.
After numerous follow up emails with the parties involved, no one is able to give me any feedback. The situation was raised and forwarded to the respected managers that promised to give me feedback and call me back which never happened.
If you try to call the numbers given in their emails the phones keep on ringing without anyone ever picking up the phone, must have called 50 plus times already.
Side note: During the whole time I have actually received confirmation from FNB that the loan has been approved on two different occasions, but when someone replies to a mail 4 days later it was mentioned that it was a mistake on their system.
As you can see it is yet another month later and I still do not have an idea of the actual status.
The contractor is on my case as his quote validity has already expired and if his cost increase that will need to be paid out of my own pocket.
The person assisting me with the application from FNB side told me on the 15th of October 2024 that FNB is waiting for documentation from the contractor to be vetted, BUT the contractor sent me feedback that he received from FNB on the 9th of October that his vetting is complete.
How do you explain that, I am at the point of moving my person account to another bank that will be willing to help their own clients. Hence why I did the application through my own bank because I assumed that the process would be easier and quicker.
Final documentation from my side was submitted on the 27th of August 2024 already for the loan application, thus we are approaching 2 months for a simple additional loan on your home loan.
