FNB - Unauthorised credit check

How is FNB allowed to run an unauthorised credit check that reports as a hard hit on credit reports.

I have not app**** for a single thing from the bank and this hard hit has an impact on my credit store.

I need clarity on this unauthorised check that appears as FNB EDG MULTI PRODUCT.
