FNB unable to open a Share invest/Krugerrand account on their own online banking platform

I attempted to open and Share invest/Krugerrand account to buy a substantial amount of Krugerrands due the price of gold at a low. This was 22 Dec. I live in Dubai so came down to facilitate this. Transactional account opened without delay however FNB is unable to fix the online glitch that prevents me from opening the Invest account on my online banking.

I have been called by senior call center personnel twice stating the problem is resolved and upon log in the same error persists. Standard response is we will get back to you within 48 hours.

Really!!!! This is your premium product. I want to invest a large sum of money with you FNB. Your platform does not work. Your team cannot resolve this in a two week period? The gold price has increased by close to 50 USD /ounce.

This is pathetic and I leave for Dubai on Sunday.

Be warned consumer

I will add the FNB reference number to my previous 3 reference numbers and then await the 48 hour time period for call back. (there will be no call back - especially overseas!!!!)
It is easy to simply issue another reference number and extend by a new 48 hours and thereby disguise the problem in your statistic collection results.

Why not just complete the action FNB, it has been 17 days now without a result.

Pathetic service continues and NO action, Someone senior in FNB please read this and observe what actually happens within your organisation.
WHY should anyone invest money with you if you cannot even open the account.

All,

Credit to FNB, they have rectified the problem and we have agreed a price to offset my potential loss due delay. They have done the right thing.

Good result !!
