FNB unable to link vehicle finance to my banking profile

I moved my banking from ABSA to FNB on 4 Jan’19 as a direct result of FNB’s ebucks rewards programme. After studying the ebucks rewards programme thoroughly and discussions with friends I realised that my banking activities would put me on ebucks reward level 5. This meant that I would basically earn about R300 per month more with ebucks rewards compared to ABSA rewards. The FNB personnel at the Kroonstad FNB branch assisted me in opening up my cheque, credit and savings accounts and all of my debit orders were switched without any problems.

However FNB is unable to assist me with the following. I have noticed that my wife’s (also banking with FNB) vehicle financed through Toyota Financial Services (a partner of FNB) is linked to her FNB online banking profile and that it counts towards one reward level on her profile. I bought a vehicle in 2015 (whilst banking with ABSA) which is also financed through Toyota Financial Services (a partner of FNB) however this is not showing on my profile and hence I am not getting a rewards level for this. I phoned FNB on numerous occasions and have been at my FNB branch twice already and still nobody can explain why it cannot link to my profile. Nobody seems to have the knowledge how to get this linked which is very disappointing as I could earn roughly R300 per month more if I was to be rewarded on level 5 as opposed to level 4.

First they told me it would not show on my profile as I am financed with Toyota Financial Services and not Wesbank. I then confronted them with my wife’s profile and they had no answer. They then told me it would link automatically after the 1st instalment goes of my FNB cheque account on 1 Feb’19. Nothing linked. They then told me it would link automatically after the 2nd instalment goes of my FNB account on 1 Mar’19. Nothing linked. The poor lady at the Kroonstad branch did her utmost best in trying to assist me but everybody she spoke to seems to guess what they tell you and nothing is based on facts.

I would appreciate it if somebody could assist me in sorting this out so that I can get rewarded on the correct level.
