FNB Travel Insurance

A flight I booked with my FNB credit card to return home was cancelled a few hours before the flight and I was only able to fly the next day. I tried to use the Travel Insurance facility on my credit card to claim for unexpected expenses incurred and was told that the insurance does not cover cancellation by the airline. My experience was that my flight was delayed. Whether the airline cancelled the flight or not is just a technicality. The outcome was that my return trip home was delayed and I was inconvenienced. It feels like the travel insurance is just for marketing. Not useful if you have to try and use it.
