FNB totally unable to assist foreigners

Terrible service...! Being sent from pillar to post without success..!!!

I am an estate agent that assisted my buyer that is a non-resident to apply for a Home Loan. We were told straight that they do not consider bonds for non-residents as they don't pay. Great, so we went to Nedbank instead that has a special division for non-residents.

My client has affordability and is in good-standing with all her financial obligations in South Africa. Nedbank requested a document that they refer to as a 'listing letter' and sent us a sample as reference that my client needs to get from her FNB branch. Nedbank needs this letter from the bank in respect of the account that receives her salary every month. They even supp**** us with a sample on an FNB letterhead and stamped by an FNB branch in Cape Town. According to Nedbank this letter heas to do with FICA.

Here is the wording (on a FNB Letterhead, stamped by FNB Cape Town Private Wealth):

Kindly note the following will be applicable at the end of your contract: 1. Should your contract in South Africa be renewed kindly supply us with an original letter from your employer confirming that your contract was extended and declaring your monthly/annual salary as well as the length of your contract. The Foreign Nationals declarations also needs to be completed and together with all the documentations be returned to our branch, together with a certified copy of your passport reflecting your personal details, photograph and valid work permit to enable us to comply with the existing Reserve Bank Control Ruling. 2. If you obtain or have obtained your permanent residence in South Africa an Immigrants Declaration must be completed and returned to us, together with a copy of the Permanent Residence Permit. However, if you depart from South Africa permanently, we require confirmation to this effect in writing. Should the latter be applicable please ensure that no local financial assistance is availed of, that local credit card accounts are closed and that any liabilities which you may have incurred during your stay in South Africa are expunged. 3. Should you be returning to your country of origin please advise us in writing if you will continue to maintain your accounts at First National Bank to enable us to appoint a relationship manager for the future and to inform you of the correct procedures regarding non-resident accounts.

My client has gone to her branch - who has spoken to the FNB Forex Department, spoken to FNB Home Loans without any success. However, the message my client gets back from FNB Home Loans is that the estate agent must supply Nedbank with this letter. I am unable to assist my client when I try to phone the FNB Forex department as they need to speak to the client herself. Little did I know that I have the authority to write letters on a FNB letterhead. So my request is simply to send me your letterhead so that I can do the letter my client so desperately need.
