FNB THINKS THAT THEY ARE ABOVE THE LAW, ACT *********
They are the worst Bank ever....I went under Debt Review in 2012 and paid all accounts in full except FNB of which i owed for a cheque account and Credit card. They would not give me a settlement discount. They also refused to abide by the Court Order amount,, and insisted that i pay the amount that they had instead of the Court ordered amount. When i have asked them ( since 2012) to explain to me in detail why i must pay their amount and not a Court Ordered amount, they refuse to do so. According to them i owe some R 41 000 +-, for the credit card, and my cheque account is paid off, however i am still awaiting a clearance certificate. They owe me approximately R 100 000 that i have overpaid and i do not owe them any moneys on the Credit card. They refuse to refund my money nor will they answer my question,. I was told by many Debt Counselors as well as attorneys that they should abide by the court order and it amount to contempt of court. If they wanted to contest this they could have gone to court to overturn the court order. They have now handed me over to Hammond Pole attorneys who the staff that i have dealt with are clueless, and i am still awaiting an answer to my question regarding my over payment as well as refund, unless they can proof to me that FNB acted within the scopes of the law. I have also requested a copy of my contract re both my accounts.
