FNB Theft

I sent an e-mail last week referring to a loan for my domestic Esther Tshehla. FNB renewed a loan for her but they were dishonest in their calculations. The original loan was for R14,000 and she paid R735 for about 30 months and they then told her that she still owes R14,000. I did an excel spread sheet and had to use a much higher interest rate to get a zero balance over 48 months. After 30 months my excel showed R8,824 where they say she still owes R14,000. I included the initial fee on the original loan as well as the monthly Service and Insurance fees then add the interest to get each closing balance for the month at a higher interest than they showed on her contract. In my opinion this is blatant theft. They have not even bothered to reply to the e-mail sent to them last week. I am now considering moving my ex-private client and now Gold account to a different bank as protest to them *****ing from the poorest of the poor who have little knowledge to recognize this blatant theft. My sincere apologies to FNB. Your representative called me and I found out that she had taken another loan last year which she thought was an overdraft and not a loan. That is why she kept on saying that she didn't take out another loan.
I have explained the difference between a loan where money is paid into her account and paid back monthly and an overdraft where the full amount drawn more than what is in her account is offset on her next monthly pay cheque. Again apologies to FNB from myself I was misled by Esther. Thank you to the staff member who was patient and efficient and looked up all the information so that I could ask Esther and explain it to her. George White.
