FNB: the worst service in the banking industry.

I am pasting here a complain I sent to FNB, it will talk for itself:

"Good day:

Few days ago I received an unpleasant surprise when discovered that FNB had blocked my online transactions. I received an SMS from FNB to visit any bank branch.

After over one and a half hours on the phone -literally-, passing like a tennis ball from on department to the next trying to get the right assistance, I was told that I have to submit a Police Affidavit stating that I am not longer working for my previous company, and a Foreign National Declaration form.

Yesterday, the 17th September 2019, I submitted the requested documents at FNB's The Glen branch. I suppose that the bank consultant uploaded those documents onto the system. She asked me to send an email to this email address to notify your side of the matter.

I would like to express my disconform with the way FNB has proceed in this matter:

▪ Firsly, why shall I send an email to FNB to notify the uploading of certain documents on the FNB system? ... Doesn't FNB has internal communication systems in place for everyone to be aware of everything?

I am so disappointed with the service from FNB that I do not want to get in contact with anyone there, honestly.

▪Furthermore, whatever FNB number you call to resolve any issue, those people take hours -if you are lucky- to answer the phone. I was used to a service from FNB that not longer exist ... It is terrible the service you are giving to your clients this days.

I have been banking with FNB for 11 years now, since I arrived to South Africa in 2008. FNB has changed so much that it feels like it is being run by the government. I am so disappointed. I have several friends who has left FNB over the past years for that reason, not idiots like me with no money, people that are giving huge business to other banks due to FNB being so useless.

If you are going to charge your clients for giving you their money, at least do a proper service to those giving you business. Jesus!

▪We are your clients, the ones giving you business, and we do not like to be treated as narcos nor runaway Gubtas -whatever the spelling is.

FNB spends the whole 365 days of the year sending us SMSs for everything. FNB could have sent me an SMS requesting me to submit the necessary documents within a certain period of time, instead of cutting the service and leaving me unable to transact.

It is very unprofessional from your side to proceed that way, to say the less. It shows not respect at all for your clients.

Whoever is reading this email. I am sorry if you have nothing to do with these situation, and I hope you could escalate this complain to the relevant people in order to avoid others to die of a heart attack in one of your branches.

Thank you.

Regards. Luis Enrique.
