FNB the worst bank when it comes to service
I get handed over to Barret Attorneys by FNB without warning due to Covid. I get sent monthly messages/email from these people to say the amount I need to pay with a discount - I tried to settle early and they did entertain my offers. So I wait till it gets to an amount I can afford. so in August I get a offer for just over R5k reduced to 4.5k to be paid before 26th Aug. I decide its time to bite the bullet and pay the amount and email (at 15:00 on 26th) Barret attorney's to confirm receipt. two days later I get a message that I still owe 1222 so they added additional amounts to the total just to stick a knife in it. I call Barret they say "FNB says no" to everything so I call FNB. They listen to my story then transfer me to a new person - I tell the whole story and get a promise of a call back on Monday this week. Its Wednesday at 16:00 and I message on app and get the same response as always - but the funny thing is because the account is basically paid off I dont qualify for the discount!!! I am also within the 17:00 open time and I call my local bank (Preller - and it goes to voicemail) I am told by the fnb app guy that a supervisor will call me in the morning as all supervisors have left for the day!!! Is this the best service that FNB can give? is this what they claim is fair? now I have to pay an additional amount.. and the cherry on the top is that they slide a notice that my sons fnb account is being closed cause I have to send his id and proof of residence again (the account is not even a year old if I think about it....) I think I have to move my account to discovery.
