FNB - the worst bank ever
I'm a new FNB customer and today after attempting to use my cheque card, I tried to call their care line only to never get through as they were experiencing high call volumes (most likely due to other dissatisfied customers). I then drove to the Woodlands branch to find out what the problem is only to find out that they've frozen my account for a document outstanding wrt to proof of residence! I received no warning of this although they claim they sent an SMS on the 24th - if I had received this SMS I would definitely have acted on it in order to avoid the inconvenience I've experienced today! I'm curious as to how one opens an account if FICA docs aren't in place???!!!

Worst of all they couldn't offer to unfreeze the account for 24 hrs so I could bring the document. When I mentioned that I find this a good enough reason to close my account their attitude remained one of disinterest to assist - apparently FNB does not value customers!!! I specifically opened an FNB account because I've had multiple people telling my how good they are - I can unfortunately not say that ANY of my experiences in opening either of my accounts have been good!

Very disillusioned!
