FNB THE ULIMATE IN INCOMPETENCY AND STUPIDITY

Dear FNB

I have still not had any formal response regarding the complaint below I lodged with FNB on the 17 April 2021.

The complaint was lodged with all the relevant details via my internet banking site. FNB responded with Complaint *** and ***.

As there was no response from FNB with regard to my complaint of the 17 April 2021, I emailed RB Jacobs at FNB on the 23 May 2021. I received a new Complaint ***.

Nearly three (3) months later and no response from FNB despite their response times within 24-48 business hours.

Once again nothing more than incompetency and stupidity from FNB.

This is a warning to anybody wanting to bring foreign investment money into South Africa, DO NOT USE FNB, as you will be only receive incompetency, stupidity, disrespect and contempt from FNB.

FNB compliments South Africa’s junk investment status with the equivalent junk service.

COMPLAINT DATED 17 APRIL 2021 ACCOUNT NO : *********x

Dear FNB, I lodging a formal complaint regarding poor service that is nothing more than incompetence by you as a bank and the staff you employ. On the 17 March 2021, FNB returned £18,238.67 (+/-R 361,000.00 ) to Citibank in the UK. This money is my annual pension lump sum payout from Citibank in the UK direct to my FNB account. THIS IS NOT FOREX. This money is transferred from my private pension fund provider via Citibank direct to my FNB account. Why did FNB not notify regarding this money which FNB returned without my knowledge? In addition on the 1st April 2021, I was paid an additional £234.33 ( +/- R5100.00 ) direct from Citibank to my FNB Account. I have not received any of this money. I was informed by my pension fund holder in the UK that this money has not been returned by FNB, which if in dispute, FNB under banking regulations have to be return to the within 10 days to the sender Citibank. Where is this money? I spoke with your Forex Department who informed me both these transfers have nothing to do with FNB Forex, this is a direct transfer from Citibank to my FNB Account. I have tried numerous times to speak to your customer services, phones just ringing nobody answering, staff clearly not interested in assisting, they cut me off or tell me this is Forex which it is not. South Africa wants foreign investment, here I am having my UK pension sent to South Africa, but am met poorest of the poor service from FNB. I submitted a complaint on Monday the 12 April 2021, but have received no reply as expected, which is the level of service from FNB. The money was sent from Citibank and the details are as follows : Account Holder : MR. xx *********xx, Account No. ******xx, Sort Code : ********. Can FNB please respond to my complaint. ***X *********X

E-MAIL SENT TO RB JACOBS OF FNB 23 MAY 2021 From: *********************X> Sent: Sunday, 23 May 2021 09:48 To: *** <***> Subject: Re: RE : ACCOUNT NO: ************X Dear Mr Jacobs

Once again I have had no formal response from FNB regarding the complaint below. This is not a Forex issue. I have spoken with Forex Department this did go through Forex. This was a direct transfer from Citibank UK direct to my FNB Account. THIS IS NOT FOREX AND YET YOUR *********** STAFF TELL ME IT IS FOREX. Some *********** member of FNB returned this money to the UK without contacting me.

This is my income which is foreign investment money. South Africa wants foreign investment. FNB response to foreign investment money is " FNB IS A THIRD WORLD BANK WHERE STUPIDITY AND INCOMPETENCE REIGNS"

South Africa is graded junk status for investment purposes and this is clearly represented by the service provided by FNB.

DURING THE 23 YEARS I LIVED IN EUROPE I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH STUPIDITY AND INCOMPETENCE FROM A BANK AS WHAT I HAVE EXPERIENCE FROM FNB.

No doubt nothing there will be no response once again from FNB.

Yours sincerely
