FNB THE ***** AND FNB ABOVE THE LAW

Dear Mr JJ Le Roux,

You are not the first nor will you be the last customer that FNB will allow to be ripped or *******. I had an account at FNB, so did my son and my daughter. Needless to say, EVERYONE of us in my family has been ********** via our FNB account. 1. In my case FNB repeatedly allowed online purchases and debit order that were never authorised to go off on my account every month for almost a year. I had to go to FNB every month and fill out forms to reverse unauthorised debit orders which I did not sign off with FNB declaring they could not protect the funds in my bank account. They also could not prevent internet ***** on my account. Strangely (I mean only FNB staff would know exactly when my salary was deposited into my account every month) these incidents only occurred immediately after my salary was deposited into my bank account and I incurred bank charges when my legitimate debit orders went off and were returned due to insufficient funds.

2. My daughter had her card which was in her possession repeatedly "swiped" at a SO-CALLED SHEBEEN IN A TOWNSHIP which was nowhere near the West Rand and we live in the suburb. The amounts swiped also exceeded my daughters daily limit. In all close to R10,000 swiped from her account. When she contacted FNB, they claimed her card was "cloned" that's how it could be swiped while she still had her card. FNB COULD NOT EXPLAIN HOW the card could be swiped for close to R10,000 within minutes at the same establishment EXCEEDING HER LIMIT OF R1,000. They THREATENED that she would possibly lose the entire R10,000 if she did not accept their settlement offer of way less than R10,000. Being an unemployed school leaver, she chose to accept instead of losing all her money. 3. My son was a student in school and he had his savings of R10,000 ****** by FNB. I'm a single parent and my son had saved up money he received from family members which I deposited into his savings account. I owed FNB and without notice they went into his account and took the entire R10,000. When I enquired they informed me they could go into his account and ***** his money if he is a minor and I am his legal Guardian and signed to open his savings account at FNB.

So write plainly Mr Le Roux, FNB are a law unto themselves. They do not feel the need to answer to the client's whose funds are deposited into FNB but they are quick to cover up internally for the staff. I think its time FNB BECOMES ACCOUNTABLE AT ALL LEVELS. No one in my family banks with FNB any longer. WE are very happy with an ethical bank and only had one incident of ***** which the bank resolved and refunded the amount in full back into my account. ITS TIME FNB PAYS THE PIPER
