FNB The Glen: doesn't do ID/Passport services despite being offered on the FNB website
FNB has and is still FALSELY ADVERTISING on the FNB website (as of 16/01), that it offers passport services at The Glen and other branches. 2x FNB Call Centre Agents reassured me the service was still issued, and at The Glen.
Meanwhile, The Glen hasn't been able to do passports or IDs supposedly since November. No help is given by The Glen FNB other than to go to the FNB branch in town (JHB Central) WHOSE HOME AFFAIRS SYSTEM IS ALSO DOWN!
There seems to be no communication within FNB. Is there no initiative or sense of responsibility in ANY of their staff in ANY of the branches where they are able to pick up that if there are a large number of people coming in for months for a bank-offered service that the branch can't fulfil - that there is a problem and someone needs to look into it and/or notify management, fix FNB's website, or even simply put up a poster in a window?
FNB blames Home Affairs. Yes, it's their system but it's FNB failed implementation and lack of follow up. Additionally, instead of offering me a refund, I'm out of pocket because FNB and Home Affairs do not take responsibility and blame each other because of the time limit set to make a booking.
The branch manager is aware of this. There has been no communication on his part despite being assured there would be.
