FNB the Cancellation Letter Refusers
Ok last year in June I took a funeral policy with FNB. So last year in December I was retrenched, leaving me with lots of bills. I went to their branch to request for a low charging account and the lady Ntathu gave me an account that charges R110 for any returned unpaid debit order, from a R7.50 account. As that was not enough there was uber rides of R50 charging on my account of which I have never approved. When I requested to cancel my funeral cover I was advised on some freeze payment (meaning my funeral cover will be freezed for 3 months until I can afford to pay, but I am not covered). When I refused they did eventually cancel my policy. The biggest matter started when I needed a cancellation letter. FNB cut my calls on numerous occasions. I called them from their branch, I even called them using my airtime but there wasn’t any assistance. So I am furious with how they treated me, given that I voluntarily took a policy, but when I am financially incapable they don’t want to assist with the cancellation letter. Be very aware of FNB when taking up a policy, they will definitely do you dirty.
