FNB: The Bank That Keeps Failing!!!!!!

An Epic Tale of Banking Inefficiency

On November 24th, I made a rookie mistake - depositing R1,500 into the wrong bank account. I discovered my error on December 4th and promptly notified FNB. Their response? A manual form, because, you know, it's 2024 and digital banking is so last season.

I emailed the completed form to *** on December 5th, as instructed. The form promised an update within 10 days. Spoiler alert: it's been more than 10 days, and I've heard nothing.

Today, I called for an update and was met with a consultant who claimed she couldn't find any record of my refund request. Brilliant.

As a Private Banking client, I expected more. You know, the usual - better service, personalized attention, and maybe even a cookie or two. But nope, with FNB, you pay more and get the same mediocre service. What a bargain!

Needless to say, I'm thoroughly unimpressed. Anyone have a good banking recommendation?

Size Ndaba I would feel embarrassed for placing my name on an email where you literally pass the buck to me your paying client. However, since your signature says COO I sent this email and guess what again no Reference. So it seems you either a **** or your department is making you one. Since you a COO maybe it's time you make some employee changes because your team is letting you down.

So here it goes again.

@***
the very gifted people working here - I feel so sorry for all the FNB clients that needs to deal with you - attached find the documents to recall a payment I made into the wrong bank account.

How am I still trying to get my own money back almost a month after I told you about this? So I have included everyone I can think of in this email so you can't use the stupid excuse of there being no reference number and for this reason you can't trace and email that exist.

@*** please see I am sending the email with the relevant documents attached and please help your *********** colleagues to also see this.

@*** you a Private Banker so I hope that attention to detail all we CFP professionals have will be of help to me and you see the email that those gifted folks @*** apparently don't see and if you don't see the email I have also included your Banker Assistant @***

I am holding thumbs that between all of you I can get my R1 500 back or if not why not give me free Fusion Private Banking services for the next 4 months at R400 a pop I will owe you a R100.

If you going to put your bank name on the Springbok Jersey you gonna want to emulate that winning mentality otherwise you should see if you can become the shirt sponsors of the Irish Rugby team because they also over promise and under deliver.

So the waiting is on.
