FNB - the Bank that couldn't care less!

Closed my FNB Cheque Account via a settlement/compromise in + - October 2017. Waited several months for a letter from FNB confirming same - subsequently being contacted by Hammond Pole attorneys who inform me that the full amount on my account is still outstanding and despite several correspondences back to them (attaching proof of my account closure and correspondence with FNB and Hammond Pole confirming same), they just continue to pester me on a daily basis. As recently as today, I received a reply from Hammond Pole addressing me as Mr. Pretorius (whoever that is???!) and indicating that the matter was still ongoing.

How do FNB not even know what their attorneys are doing?? How is it possible that I have a legal settlement letter in my hands and yet I am bothered every day by attorneys WHO DO NOT EVEN TAKE THE TIME TO READ MY CORRESPONDENCES PROPERLY??!!

I was assured by FNB at the time, that my Credit Status would be updated with the Credit Bureau - no doubt this has probably never ever been done and my subsequent ability to raise credit is most likely now also detrimentally affected. This Bank very clearly, does not give a toss regarding how it treats Clients and its attorneys are just as bad.

Reviewer Update
Well lo and behold! - after resolving this matter with FNB (in writing) several weeks ago, yesterday I received an SMS from, you guessed it, Hammond Pole Attorneys informing me that my FNB Cheque Account has been handed over. Clearly, this Bank has absolutely no control over its Approved Agents and of course, my Credit Profile no doubt continues to suffer. Let's just hope that they don't manage everyone's money in the same manner.
