FNB terrible client service
I recently paid off my debt at FNB (3June 2021) I then waited a week and called FNB for my paid up letter (10 June 2021.
I was notified that it will take 24 to 72 hours then I would receive my paid up letters.
Today I phoned again (17 June 2021) to ask for the letters that I had still not received. It took nearly an hour for FNB to answer the phone, when they finally did, I got transferred to another dept, and I waited another 40+ minutes. When they finally answered they cut the call and I had to start the whole exercise over again. An hour later someone finally answered and stated that the accounts was not closed and they can't send me the paid up letters. I explained that it needs to be finalized today and asked to speak to a manager.
The lady that assisted me stated that FNB does not have the ability to transfer me to a manager (which in today's modern world I can not believe for a second)
She also promised that the manager would call me back emediately (which obviously she/he did not do)
So now I am back at square 1 and I still do not have my paid up letter.
FNB is very quick to send you a settlement letter so you can pay them but they refuse to provide proper service when they need to send you the proof that you do not owe them any money any longer.
This is still the worst client experience that I have ever had.
Thank you for notifying me that you received my complaint. Thank you for sending me not 1 but 2 sms's saying someone will be contacting me shortly. And thank you for proving my point that service is NON EXISTING at FNB.
I received those 2 sms's yesterday so unless "shortly" means in the next millennium or so, rather replace that word with "we might contact you if we feel like it" atleast then you do not lie to your clients.
Oh and guess what it has now been nearly 3 weeks and no I still have not received the paid-up letters that I requested.
So I say again, thank you FNB for being so utterly useless and for not caring at all about your clients, that you made the decision soooo easy for me to look elsewhere in the future when I am looking for a bank.

You have a lady working for you that you should promote, give a raise and a massive bonus. She managed to sort out in one day that the whole of your service area could not do in 2 and a half weeks.
To Ansaaf Norodeen, thank you very much for the excellent service you had provided me today. You are truly a shining beacon in an otherwise rotten service department within FNB.
Thank you for sorting me out so quickly and professionally today. You are a rock star.
