FNB Temp loan repayments
I made a temporary loan of R1000 with FNB on 19 February 2020 which was deposited into my account immediately. I then transferred the money using the FNB App from my cheque to my savings account (both FNB). When I needed to use the money for which the loan was intended for, I transferred the money back to my Cheque account. And they already debuted R290,73...this is on 22 February (3 days later). I feel that this loan really defeats the purpose and it is seriously ridiculous. FNB should really work on their temporary loan terms & conditions as so many people are complaining. I know that any deposit made into the account may be debited, but to hear that a transfer from one account to another is also debited is appalling. When I asked that the debit order of R290,73 be reversed I was told that it is not possible and that all I could do is speak to the line manager who would also tell me the same thing (that there’s nothing they can do about it), or also log a complaint with the complaints department but they too will not be able to do anything about it.
