FNB TAKING ADVANTAGE OF ITS CLIENTS

FNB claims that I owe money on a credit card account that dates back to 2007, and it has been over a week and the bank has yet to tell me how much I owe. I, for one, was perplexed when they brought up the subject of this account after so many years. This account does not exist in my opinion - 15 years is a long time. The bank is attempting to resurrect this account by any means possible, and they are digging through every attorney/debt collector to whom the account was allegedly handed over, as well as digging through credit bureaus for any information they can find. This is suspicious, and I'm concerned about the entire situation. I mean, if the bank doesn't know how much I owe, how can we be sure that the information they get from third parties is correct? The bank is pushing its luck and, in the process, undermining my right to fairness. I can guarantee that whatever amount they claim I owe will be cooked. I really don't trust the bank on this one, and I feel like I'm being taken advantage of.
