FNB taking advantage during COVID-19, robbing me when I asked for help and now trying to ruin my name. STAY AWAY FROM FNB!
When the COVID-19 pandemic started I was asked to work from home and would be taking a small but significant pay cut; so I turned to FNB, which I have been a client with for over 15 years with already.
Initially I requested COVID cash relief and had been asked to wait for 7 days for confirmation, during the 7 day waiting period i had managed to make an alternative arrangement and let FNB know as soon as I did that I no longer required any financial assistance as i managed to make plans without incurring more debt.
I have had to beg FNB for over 9 days from the day of requesting cancellation as to the status of the cancellation to no avail. When I originally requested for the account to be cancelled I was told to to pay an amount of R449.62 even though nothing had been debited from the cash relief account, I paid this amount as soon as I received the settlement quote from FNB hoping that the account would be blocked and no more debits would be made as i had responded in very quick time and had done all relevant tasks asked for by FNB.
no 9 days after my cancellation request FNB are requesting a further R325 in interest after i had already paid the R449.62 and sent proof. FNB is a disgusting low life institution who preys on their customers instead of actually trying to help them.
My earnings have reduced due to the pandemic and when I asked for help it took FNB over 7 days to actually let me know whats happening and even when I decided that I no longer require their help they are tyring to ***** over R750 from me in interest for an account I havent even used and have been begging for it to be closed for over a week!
Please stay far away from FNB!!! They are a useless dishonest bank and I wish I had never ever asked for help because I have just been paying money which I do not have to get them to cancell the aco**** which has never even been used!!!!
