FNB takes us for granted
I am truly disappointed at the service from FNB with whom I have banked with all my life. I recently traveled abroad on the 21st Jan '19 and have not traveled in many years and thought once I pay with my debit card I automatically have travel insurance. Only to find out that it is automatic only if one pays with a credit card. This is what your website displays - Get FREE Comprehensive Global Travel Insurance cover when you use your qualifying FNB Cheque or Credit card to purchase your local or international return travel ticket(s). Is my transaction on my Debit Card not proof enough for you that I purchased tickets? Is my phone calls not proof enough for you that I have called your debit and credit card departments to activate my cards for International Travel? Yet FNB has not called me once to mention about the travel insurance. We had an incident that occurred in ****et where we lost our mobile phones due to us having to jump into the sea before the speedboat capsized. Now we cannot even claim for our cellphones and power banks. Please advise as to how this can be sorted? What if the situation was much worst where we could have lost our lives. How would FNB then compensate for that? Regards.
