FNB take responsibility
I have been with the bank from 2002 till today. But i left furious after my account R3200.00 was withdrawn from my account on the 25 March 2018 at around 21:09pm and 21:11pm at Sasol garage while i had my cards with sleeping at my place.Unfortunately my phone was off when these transactions were done.In the morning of 26 March 2018 i saw the transactions before i could contact fnb i received the auto machines voice call from FNB asking me if i was the one who made transactions and if so not i must wait for the consult to speak to me which i dropped the call. When i got to my workplace i called FNB Cheque and Debit Card ***** call centre. I told the m what happened. The sent me a ***** Claim Form to fill the details and emailed back to them.On the 3 April i received a from FNB informing me that they were not in a position to accept liability for the loss of my R3200.00. But to hold me responsible for the transactions. I challenged FNB to prove to me that if these transactions were done by me or my card as i had the cards with and for me at that time i was sleeping. The transactions happened at ABSA atm. I asked the consultant to aquire the ATM footage or the Garage footage as this ATM it is inside the shop. FNB they are not helping me as i still maintain i had my cards with even in the morning of 26 all my bank cards were there. Now FNB referred me if am not happy i must approach the Ombudsman which i did sent them all required documents but till today no one has contacted me.
