FNB system glitch duplicates transactions & they refuse to rectify it.

06 March - my cheque account goes into a debit balance of over R3000. As a result the "sweeping" function of my revolving loan kicks in and funds are transferred from my revolving loan to my cheque account. I contact the FNB call centre and after speaking and explaining to 5 different people, eventually a call centre agent explains that they received internal communication advising that there was an FNB system glitch that resulted in duplicated transactions that apparently affected 300+ FNB customers.

after only reversing a % of the duplicated transactions, I requested that FNB reverse the funds that were transferred from my revolving loan as it was not my fault that my cheque account went into a debit balance.

To this day, FNB refuses to reverse the funds and they claim that I opted for the sweeping function, which I did - however, my cheque account went into a debit balance as a result of an FNB system glitch that duplicated my transactions.

Not only was FNB not transparent about the glitch, but they refuse to rectify the error. Only partially reversing the duplicated transactions and refusing to reverse the funds that were transferred from my revolving loan.....on top of that, I had to pay penalties and interest on debit revolving loan balance.
