FNB system designed to keep business customers from contacting them.

We want to contact our business banker, but FNB have locked us out. The branch numbers are now connected to the call centre. ***. 10 mins holding time and then another 4 minutes to be put through to branch, and then the line cuts off. Happened twice. Sent 4 emails to previous working email of our personal banker, and email says "you are not authorised". What do we do? We are a small business with R15m turnover, but FNB have carefully designed systems that spells out "we dont care" We cannot do business like this. Nobody can. Please give me a good reason to stay with FNB. You have made it impossible to contact you. How do a business operate without being able to contact or be contacted. Everyone in South Africa hates call-centres. Sorry for stating the obvious.

Thank you for calling back, but a Business cannot bank with a Call Centre. I was not complaining as you suggest, I was screaming "Help Peter" my business is drowing. Apparently business banking at my branch is moved to National Call Centre, my Business Banker is on holiday and FNB is in the process of moving all Business Banking to a national call centres. I am afraid that your business customers will start to leave First National Call centre to look for a real bank. Here's another question: How many CEO's do you think a call centre can reach on call-backs? How many CEO's will spend a morning on the phone to contract FNB? I have posted this because many other CEO's and Business owners are getting to this crossroads: Do we stay or do we go? I want you to reply and explain how this works now, and why is it better, so we can make a decision either way. I have a business to run in South Africa and the US where I communicate via secure email with the Community Bank branch manager.
