FNB Sucks!

FNB Sucks!!

on the 3rd of May 2020 I wrote a review on this platform regarding FNB, I was contacted by Karlin Nair from FNB Private Clients. He tried to explain their Covid relief to me, However it is still a loan. They loan you money to pay your FNB commitments, and after 3 months you need to pay that money back on top of all your other commitments. And they don't care if you can afford it or not.

He also said he would help me regarding my FNB Life policies for myself and my husband. I emailed everything to him as requested. A few days later my FNB life policies paid out, But till date we never heard anything from my husband's policies.

During the month of April we both didn't work, so month end we couldn't afford to pay the full instalment on our home loan, (for the first time in 6 years), and FNB threatened to take us to court via sms. They don't understand reason, or try to assist us in any other way. We managed to get the money and pay everything up to date eventually.

Weekly we both receives sms's from FNB stating that we have bounced debit orders, and we SHOULD take the Covid relief they offer. And once again they don't care if we can afford it or not.

FNB Life: After paying out early May for myself, I received an sms/email stating they paid out 1 out of 12 instalments. Then on Sunday I received an SMS from the bank stating that my 'retrenchment claim' has come to an end. I never claimed for retrenchment, but for loss of income. I emailed Karlin yesterday (25 May 2020) and asked him to please find out what is going on. He stated that he escalated the claim for urgent feedback, but I'm still waiting.

All the other things were escalated by Karlin as well for urgent feedback, but till date no one contacted us with any feedback.

Like stated previously, FNB will loose all business from me, my husband, and our business account. We will move everything away

Since FNB started with modernising everything, their service went out the back door. They need a new slogan, as their slogan doesn't do them any justice anymore.

I went to the branch in Three Rivers to try and see if a consultant can assist me, and they just say sorry, we can't. you must phone the call centre. They don't even try!

I'm so disappointed, and fed-up with struggling with a bank, that doesn't even try to assist you.
