FNB Student Loan Misrepresentation
FNB Student Loans are nothing but a **** - they are not a pure student loan, but rather a personal loan with a 12 month payment holiday. This is not properly communicated to you when applying. It is nothing other than misleading and leads to reckless lending. I have spent the past week trying to sort out the mess that FNB's misrepresentation has caused, but cannot get though to anyone who is able to provide assistance. I have been a client of FNB for going on 30 years, but I refuse to further support them. I will be looking at closing/moving my accounts away from them. I am also investigating laying a claim with the financial ombud herein. What they are doing is absolutely scandalous and they should be ashamed!
Basically, they told me that regardless of the fact that their representatives misrepresented their product/omitted all the facts and in essence **** to me, it's just too bad for me.
After almost 30 years as a client, I have never, ever felt let down so badly. I am laying a complaint with the Ombud herein and will be investigating moving my accounts to a different bank.
