FNB ****** MONEY
I have called, I have gone into the bank, I have emailed, and I have been told on numerous occasions that the problem would have been resolved by now yet I am still sitting with over R3550 missing from my account due to an error that FNB made!
On Friday the the 1st of December I made an Online payment valued at R1776.00 at 10:30 am through takealot.com. At 3:58 pm that afternoon (apparently when FNB systems came back online) FNB took the same payment again - TWICE!!!
So the same payment for my purchase was made a total of THREE TIMES - WITHOUT MY APPROVAL! I contacted takealot.com and the payment was only processed once on their end (I have sent FNB proof via email that this is not an error takealot.com made). This is an error FNB has made!
I contacted FNB immediately only to be told that I cannot be helped due to the systems being offline, so I waited.
Once the systems came back online I again contacted FNB (payment authorization) only to be told it was a mistake made by FNB and the money would be reversed that evening/latest by Saturday morning. The reversal was not made!
On Saturday the 2nd of December I spent over two hours in the bank, only to be told the same story, the payment would be reversed by 4pm, 2 December, 24 hours after the money was taken from me (it has still not been reversed), and I had to fill in a dispute form which takes 7 days to be processed (how on earth is it okay to make me wait 7 days for money, due to a mistake FNB has made????)
Now I understand that FNB's systems were down on Friday, this however is a mistake FNB has made and I feel that it is not fair that I have not gotten my money back or that this problem has not been resolved!
Then I am told to fill in dispute forms that will take up to 7 days to get processed! Please explain to me how this is okay? How am I meant to feed my one year old daughter and support my family with the 900 and odd Rand you have left me with in my account ?????
Not only has FNB put me in an inconvenient situation, I literally cannot feed my child due to an error FNB has made! And I honestly feel like I have not been assisted in this situation to RESOLVE this problem!
I still haven't heard back from FNB regarding this issue even though I have used up all my airtime calling them over the weekend, spent most of my Saturday in the bank and sent numerous emails. Is this really the type of service one receives as an FNB client?
