FNB STOLE MY MONEY.

HOW FNB TREAT ITS CLIENTS. HOW FNB STOLE MY MONEY!!!

Backround I'm from jhb and the job was in eastern cape. 1st time working in EC.

25th Jan 2023

Paid money for concrete to a local supplier. Locals spoke about collusion in town to inflate prices.(*****)

Called FNB to report ***** and for a reversal after I paid. Fnb told me my case hasn't been assigned yet, I should wait.

I Called and a case was assigned to Nhlamulo Baloyi and that will be the person I’ll be in contact with. (It never happened).

26/01/23

The *****/collusion was a misunderstanding so I called to ask them to drop the case, I was told to go to police station and draft it on an affidavit. Did that and hoped they will release funds to supplier and I can get my Concrete.

26/01/23 (Same day as above paragraph)

Received email from supplier stating that since there was a ***** notification and the bank froze the funds so they will not be delivering material. This is after I sent the affidavit stating the bank should release funds.

27/01/23

Called fnb to ask a way forward but was told the investigating agent Nhlamulo will contact me but never did.

30/01/23

Sent email and tried calling fnb but no luck.

01/02/23

Requested FNB to refund me since funds are frozen and supplier won't be delivering and I bought Concrete from another supplier.

06/02/23

Emailed and called FNB but no luck. Still no contact from nhlamulo or anyone.

28/02/23

Tried calling FNB almost everyday till this day but no help sent an angry email to fnbcare.

01/03/23

Got email from FNB care but no luck.

07/03/23

Nhlamulo Baloyi finally sends me an email saying he tried contacting me on old information on the system (I’v sent hundreds of emails and left voicemails on his phone with my contact info).

15/03/23

Nhlamulo says I should go to my nearest branch and fill in a reversal form (him knowing it's bull**** cause it's beyond 30days)I went anyways.

He said the branch will send it through for processing.

Then FNB says they can't help cause it's over 30days.

27/03/23

FNB and Nhlamulo told me that I sent an affidavit saying they should release the money to the supplier(an affidavit I sent on the 26th of Jan followed up by emails saying do not and waiting for contact or communication).

Fine, can FNB give me proof money was released so I can follow up with the supplier or can they help in contacting the supplier. “Nope sorry but they can't help” - FNB.

Closing all FNB accounts and will no longer bank with this bank.
