Original complaint to Hello Peter:-
FNB - WORST bank to bank with EVER!!! May 9 - I receive a call from FNB card division telling me that there’s unusual activity on my account, so I check while I’m on the line to them and immediately tell her none of it’s me and to block all my accounts immediately.
A cyber ******** had got into my internet banking and transferred all my money from my Money Maximizer account into my everyday account.
They then used my ‘card’ to put through several transactions, to two seperate companies, which is false because the card was and still is in my possession.
I don’t use my internet banking. I only access my FNB accounts through my app.
They have refuted my card transactions, in a nutshell, saying it was my fault.
I have heard nothing from the digital ***** division of FNB and am been shunted around.
Everyday it’s the same story. Wait up to 30 working days.. So and so will get back to you.. BLAH BLAH BLAH..
I have been literally traumatized by their lack of interest and support.
It’s all the money I have and it’s not small amounts.
I am absolutely disgusted with them in every aspect.
As soon as I hear what digital ***** has to tell me, I will be closing ALL my accounts with them and I’ve been banking with them for several years, both personal and business.
I would never recommend them ever again to ANYONE and I will encourage the people around me to do the same and move their money.
It’s not safe to have your money with FNB and they really DON’T care about their clients. AT ALL!!
I have a lot more information with reference to their incompetence. I want them to get the phonecall recordings - on the first call, they gave me one correct case number and the other one was false!!!!
Nice!!
I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SINCERELY THANK FNB FOR CAUSING ME TO BE IN THE MIDDLE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN. AT LEAST YOU ARE BEING OF ASSISTANCE TO ME IN SOME AREA OF MY LIFE.
Email to the Ombudsman:-
So, FNB had responded to me with a ‘goodwill’ payment.
I have emailed through to you the info and I’m not happy at all with the responses.
They have not only caused me financial turmoil, they have also caused me a huge amount of psychological distress.
I am currently unemployed and I am living at Saligna Halfway House in Donkerhoek.
Before coming here I was at a rehabilitation facility in Tierpoort called Ezekiel House, for 14 Months.
Please feel free to contact either of them and use my ****en name Dillon or my married name Barry to get confirmation of this.
Since I left Ezekiel House, I am my own, divorced, sole supporter.
The money that I had was all from selling most of my belongings, so that I could support myself, until I find a job and my recovery is stable enough that I will be a good employee to have in an organisation and not a high risk at all of relapsing.
I cannot begin to explain the agonizing distress that I am now in.
Not able to pay rent, next to no food, in a few days I cannot buy any of my prescription medication that has to be supp**** by a pharmacy - the government doesn’t supply it, so I will have to stop them. This is a danger all on its own stopping cold turkey!!
I am devastated and all this has contributed toward a bipolar depressive episode.
You are welcome to call Dr I Verster from Denmar to confirm that I am a patient of hers.
This is far more reaching than a just a simple bit of money.
This is my life. I have worked so hard on getting my act together and cleaning up.
And this is tearing that hard work apart bit by bit.
Please could you advise me on the next step…
Kind Regards,
