FNB still spectacularly unhelpful
Following up from my previous complaint on this platform FNB has still not provided a solution, to my problem which has now been dragging out for over 6 weeks.
My 91 year old father who is bedridden and does not have a cellphone has been trying to set up an online banking profile (after FNB with no communication, notice or warning removed his bank account from the profile he was using), and needs a card with PIN number in order to set up the profile.
6 weeks later and only after my complaint on this platform, he was finally sent a card. BUT the card did not come with a PIN number and the letter accompanying the card very helpfully states how to get your PIN number from the banking App or from online banking, neither of which my father has.
After once again phoning for help and being passed from pillar to post and speaking to at least 6 different people on various different phone numbers, one of your consultants finally gave me an email address and assured us they would be able to help us with the PIN number.
We have just received a response to his email requesting help getting the PIN number (after explaining again that my father is bedridden and does not have the FNB app and does not have online banking, which is what we are trying to set up) and for the second time now, the response this time from Karlene, has been to tell us to go to a branch where they will be able to help us.
Do your staff not understand the meaning of the word bedridden, or do they not bother reading the emails or are they just plain stupid?
FNB, need a solution to this catch-22 situation!
