FNB Still holding on for R200
This is not so much a complaint (but not a complement either) rather a funny occurrence, I recently decided to move my account to FNB and after reading their website decided to complete their online form. Response was very quick and a sales person called me back within 2 hours, after answering most of the questions I qualified for one of the cheque accounts, however the system approved me for a savings account, she was to check and call me back, that Monday I received a call back advising that I cannot continue with the account application as I had an old account (from 2004) that had an outstanding balance of R200 which needed to be paid first before I could move forward. I was advise to go to the branch to resolve the issue.

FNB if you are holding your breath for the R200 don't, I would rather stay with Nedbank, who honestly I haven't had any issues with.

BTW I did not leave FNB to get away from paying the R200, at that time I thought your service was way below standard and I always had a problem with my salary not being cleared on time.
Clearly my business is not that important to you.
