FNB *****s from clients
About 2 months ago I opened an Easy acc with FNB, something which is proving to be the biggest mistake of my life. Within a month of having opened this account FNB deducted R46 000 out of my account with my consent or any arrangement whatsoever in order to settle some old loans I had with them. They don't even know how I survive and they decided to settle the accounts on my behalf with my money without comminicating with me or arranging for a monthly debit order. They took a lump sum of funds just like that! When I called to complain, they advised me that they'd be willing to compensate me by offering me a discount. On the 26th of July 2018 at 14:46, consultant Nompumelelo Mthembu confirmed on a recorded line that FNB loans would pay back an amount of R17507.33 to me as part of the settlement discount which they promised me but to my surprise on Aug 2nd 2018, I received an amount of R12573.27, shortpaying me with R4934.06. When I called back to complain I was told that I was granted a 30% discount and the amount I was paid is correct. What about the amount the agent promised me on a recorded line? Does that not mean anything? FNB boldly says our calls are recorded for quality and security purposes but they refuse to entertain my query. This is the worst service I have ever received anywhere and I'm terribly disgusted that a bank I used to work for and trained me to be a superb customer service consultant has descended to this type of appaling service. I need this issue sorted ASAP before I take it further, FNB must be exposed. Secondly just yesterday, about a month after I had settled this account or rather settled by FNB on my behalf without consulting me, their collections agency Nimble Group sent me an sms demanding payment in 48 hrs, I immediately called them to inform them the acc had been settled to which they were surprised. What's going on here? Why doesn't FNB communicate with their collections guys to stop sending me threat sms, I do not owe FNB anymore. I then called FNB loans to request paid up letters so that I could forward them to Nimble group to which I was told I will only get them in 45 working days, that's over 2 months from now for an acc that was already settled for more than a month. Is this how FNB trears their clients? Is this the kind of help you are alluding to when you ask How can we help you? Must I be bul**** by collections agencies for 2 more months for an already settled acc just because I'm waiting for a paid up letter that can simply be forwarded to me in 5 min? I need FNB to contact me urgently to sort all of this nonsense out. I want my R4934.06 and I demand paid up letters for both these settled loans with immediate effect, failing which I will expose FNB all over social media, print media etc and I might have to visit the office of the Ombudsman very soon. I'm totally apalled!
