FNB stalling to close my ACCOUNT!

Never in my life have I struggled to close a bank account with FNB. Been nearly a month of hitting dead ends with FNB stalling and taking their time to close this account. I requested account closure got a REF of REF:*** and everytime I query they tell me they can't see that it was logged for account closure. What a useless bunch. I enjoyed FNB but no wonder people are diverting to Capitec. I suppose I thought I was doing the right thing to close it now I will just let in go inactive and they can block it themselves because I am not stupid who wouldn't stall the process of closing and losing a client. Email the mybranch and the TAT is absolutely ridiculous. Stay away from FNB.
