FNB staff and system incompetence
I have a platinum cheque acc with FNB. Currently I reside, work in Qatar using my Commercial Bank acc sending money via eft to my FNB acc. Been doing this from April, monies had been successfully sent for the past 5 months. Oct 4, 2015 I an eft for R27 000.00 to FNB acc, and on 5 Oct, 2015 R60 000.00 also eft to FNB. FNB rejected the electronic transfers 3 times in 2+ weeks. I phoned Joyce Kota, telno: ***,who kept on saying that the problem is with Standard bank's Forrex dept. After the 3rd time eft got returned, I had to use Western Union to ensure money is paid to my FNB acc to cover bills in SA .Bongani telno: ***, FNB phoned, confirmed that FNB indeed changed their system, did reject all 3 electronic fund transfers.Bank costs charged by Commercial bank due to the returns:1500 Qatari Riyals (R5400.00), cost for monies send using Western Union R4367.82. This includes the service fee and the USD vs ZAR exchange rate. The amount spent \trying"to get money to my FNB acc (due to system problems and staff incompetence) was R9767.82. I expect this to be refunded URGENTLY with interest. I am sending all documents to The Ombudsman. Correspondence available """
