FNB SLOW LOUNGE

This is to warn other users of the slow lounge not to get caught like I was caught.

My wife and I were returning from Cape Town and as an FNB client I am entitled to use the slow lounge at the airport. When we went to the lounge we were checked in with no problem.

When I got my FNB credit card statement I was charged for my wife's entry into the slow lounge. I was under the impression that you are allowed to take one guest in with you. When I queried this I was advised that between 13:00 and 17:00 is peak time and you will be charged for your guest. I

I was not informed of this at the lounge by the people sitting at reception. The answer that I got back was that we entered the lounge at 13:00:43 and as it was 43 seconds after 13:00 and that is why I was charged R250.00.

Why could the people at the reception have advised me that there was a charge as it was now peak time. I believe that they are either unaware of the rules or just could not be bothered to tell me.

This is a warning to people planning on using the slow lounge with guests CHECK the time before you go in or you will be caught like me.
