FNB sim card help

Getting the free FNB connect sim card to work has proved to be difficult. On the FNB app you need to go to the connect site and scroll left a few times in order to register your request. When I received my card today I was happy but I could not activate my sim card. Wandile at the sim card division kept asking me whether I did cell phone banking? He did not authenticate me via my FNB app but asked a whole lot of personal details instead. That is worrying. Wandile told me that it takes 2 to 4 hours for the sim card to activate automatically. It didn't activate. I had to phone back on my landline phone as the 087 number cut immediately using my old mobile number.

Nthabile then told me it takes 24 hours for the sim card to activate 'automatically' which is not what Wandile said. This is dangerous as the sim card can get ******. I think that the sim card should be delivered with an explanatory note on how to activate the sim card as I wasted a lot of time today and my sim card is still not working. I want to thank Thabile who was lucid and didn't waste my precious time as a medical doctor running around to all parts of the FNB app fruitlessly as Wandile made me do.
