Fnb should stick to just banking
I hope someone can help me as I am so frustrated typing this.
Someone at Fnb called me asking if I'm interested in an fnb sim and that cellphone banking would be free etc etc. Little did I know that they going to port my number from my network as I did not think for Fnb to be a network. I know there's only 4 major cellphone networks... Cell C MTN, Telkom and Vodacom.
Man they conned me good. Well then I received the sim delivered to my door. The package was just laying in my cupboard as I wasn't excited or in a hurry to put the aim in my phone. About a week later my own aim disconnected from my telkom network. I've been with telkom for a few years and was totally happy with their network service.
Okay I thought, it's time to put in my fnb sim where my number has been ported to. Oh my!!!
To my surprise this sims network was so bad. It shows on the phone Fnb network. Oh please fnb what are you trying to try. Now I was pondering, are they really a network. Any way time went on I just never had a network service at home. When I go somewhere outside my area a maybe pickup network. I called and I called my old network telkom to port me back but they could not as they said it will take 3 months to port me back.
I then took the suffering of 3 months then after 3 months which was last week I went into Fnb bank feeling so excited that I'm gonna go back to my old network.
I got to the bank and they put me on a phone of don't know where that call centre exist. I was waiting on the phone almost an hour then finally spoke to some one. I told him my problem and that I want to cancel. Guess what he tell me? He's gonna reboot something from his side then someone can call me the next day.
I went home the reboot thing he did did not work at all. I mean what are you rebooting? You are not a network provider. You make use of Vodacom and Cell C and call it a FNB network. Please just continue with your banking and leave this conning people to make more money. It certainly does not work. I came across over 20 people with the same problem.
The next day I got a call from Fnb. Told the lady the same story again. Guess what she told me... I can port back to another network only 1 July. I could not help but burst out of frustration. I told her I don't wanna wait till that time I want it to be cancelled now. Suddenly she said yes okay will cancel it and put my sim to prepaid.
A few hours later the network of fnb disconnected. Yaaaaaay!!!
I put in another sim, no networks are picking up. Fnb cancelled my own number I had for years.
People cannot contact me. I get so many important calls and now I'm without my number.
Whole week after work everyday I went somewhere to try and fix this problem. First to Telkom then the next day to another Telkom then to the bank. I've waisted so much time and effort not to mention the suffer of the 3 months on fnb network.
Yesterday I called from work fnb connect call centre. Everytime the robot lady says 'we are experiencing a higher than normal call volume. Fnb stop lying you are experiencing a high call volume every single day coz of unhappy customers all calling in so please. I was waiting on the phone for almost an hour then I had to put the phone down. I cannot deal anymore. Who is gonna pay me back all the charges. I am seriously going to find all the people that went through the same thing and we can sue this place. I still have no network on my ********** 271 number. I would appreciate it if someone can put it back to prepaid.
