FNB Short Terms

"Your FNB Short Term Policy has been amended. The changes made to your policy come into effect immediately. The updated Policy Schedule attached provides you with all the important information regarding your policy."

Apparently, this is because of my claim history, and this claim history is your own doing FNB. You spilit claims. Clients do pay premiums, why are we paying premiums yet we get victims on the number of claims one submits. Such information should be upfront, not something you are being told after and being penalised for it and in fine print as well as how many claims one can submit in year because we do not plan these things. This is just pathetic, anyone who is shopping for house insurance, do not consider FNB, what they are doing is pathetic.

We have reviewed your FNB Short Term insurance policy based on recent changes in your risk profile and your personal claims history. The following changes will be made to your policy:
  1. Your building insurance excess will change from R1000 to R4000
  2. Your monthly premium will increase from R557.97 p/m. to R725.36 p/m.

I am being penalised for submitting four claims that FNB had to split, resulting in more than four claims.

One claim was submitted last year in April, and it was split into two claims.

Three claims were submitted this year, one for a motor gate and two for a geyser.

Why is all this my problem, and am I being penalised for it?

And lastly, regarding claim number: 43700 I am advised that FNB has paid R18 000, I am can put on record that the work that was done doesn't amount to R18 000, it way less than that.
