FNB short term insurance not supporting at all during an emergency
On 23 September @ 13:00 my geyser broke and a lot of water came through the ceiling. I called FNB Short term insurance to help. They said they will dispatch a plumber on an emergency. However, @ 17:00 nobody came or called. I followed up again, and the 3rd party person said she will again follow up. so at around 18:00 a plumber pitched up. He managed to isolate the leak temporarily as the solar circulation pump was broken. He then said he will come the next day to replace it. After a lot of calls to FNB, CAC and the plumber to get the authorization, only on Monday30 September @ 17:00 the plumber came to replace the pump. After replacing the pump as soon as I opened the water to the geyser, there was another major leak as the water streamed through the ceiling onto my wooden floors and onto my wardrobe. I called the plumber back and they found a Pressure valve broken... After allot of calls again to CAC (as FNB is not available after 17:00) and some exchange with the plumbing owner0 they temporarily fixed this leak. Then the plumbing owner felt disgruntled about all the exchanges and we cancelled his services. This is the most terrible service I have ever received from an insurance company and the service provider they appointed as well as the 3rd party involved. I had to waut a week to get the geyser "fixed" only for it to be damaged even more. All the way struggling to get hot water and have my ceiling and wooden floors get damaged more and more. Even as I write this complaint, I got no feedback about the repair of the ceiling and floors nor the repair of the pressure valve of the geyser. This is extremely unprofessional and FNB should handle the claim, and I am not supposed to phone multiple times every day and get in confrontations with all parties involved
