FNB Short Term Insurance is the pits

First of all, I was involved in an accident in July in the early hours of a Saturday morning in the Free State and I called their roadside assist for help. I was told they cannot find my policy and so they can't help me until the next Monday because according to the consultants that I spoke to, only people who work during the week can confirm my policy. The trauma of being involved in an accident in the middle of nowhere with no one to help is a topic for another day. In the midst of all the confusion and pain and anger I then manage to get help from strangers because my car was stuck in a ditch of water and I feared the damage will be worse if I leave the car there for 48 hours until the next Monday. The strangers helped me and more damages were inflicted on the car. I manage to drive the car back home to Gauteng the following Sunday. They then confirm my policy on Monday and take my car in for repairs on the very same Monday and this was in July. They decide to write off the car after the car spent 3 months with the panel beaters but there was work already done on the car. They then offered me a cash sum to finish up fixing the car which I reluctantly agreed to. To cut the long story short, after close to 5 months I am still without a car and they are dragging their feet.

I would never recommend.
